Yes, it’s the Toyota Yaris Trend, but not the one announced for the UK market recently – this one is the 2013 version that will make its debut in Paris. It’ll go on sale next year, again specific to the market.
The new Trend has been stylised further, all aimed at capturing the eye of younger customers. What’s new then? The 2013 version – which retains the blacked out B and C-pillars – gets chome elements in headlamps and the foglight surrounds, and versions with white paint have matching white covers in the headlamp units.
The new list also includes two-tone 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome door sills and door mirror covers, a roof spoiler and hybrid-style LED rear lamp clusters. The car also gets a distinctive Deco line stripe if the car is in silver or white, and the detail surface runs back across the bodywork from the headlamps on.
As for the interior, the cabin gets dressed in black and white, with a contrasting touch of ochre. The soft-touch dashboard and upper door panels are now finished in white, and matches the exterior bodywork with Deco line surface detailing.
Ditto the seat upholstery, with the upper seatback bolsters and headrests dressed in a new, pearl white leather-look material, with more ochre stitching, and the combination meter follows the same colour theme, in black and white, with ochre accents.
Elsewhere, the gear shift lever has been shortened and has a larger knob, and on Multidrive S transmission models, the shift knob features – no surprise here – a white insert and ochre stitching.
