No, it has nothing to do with the popular sandwich, although it is a question of taste – specifically that of China’s prosperous community. Koenigsegg has released images of a one-off Agera R tailored specially for a Chinese buyer - CarNewsChina reports that the car has already arrived in Beijing, and the cost is an estimated 20 million RMB (RM9.6 million), nearly twice the price of a ‘normal’ Agera R.
The Agera R BLT features a clearcoat carbon body finished in a blue tint and red highlights, along with “many other unique features chosen by its owner.” Inside, red striping is combined with blue leather.
The Swedish supercar maker says BLT “means something completely different in Chinese,” adding that the car “represents the pinnacle of the Koenigsegg customisation programme.”
The Agera R’s twin-turbocharged 5.0 litre V8 develops a phenomenal 1140 hp and 1200 Nm of torque when running on E85 fuel. A sub-1.5 tonne kerb weight allows a 0-100 km/h time of under three seconds and a top speed in excess of 390 km/h.
So if someone from our shores custom orders one, will it be called the Agera R ABC and have nothing to do with shaved ice?
